Since I dont want to be that guy*….. heres some dumb stuff I happened to work on on Photoshop.

Keep in mind- the reference images dont belong to me. I just happened to use them together to create this picture

express

expression.

This has an underlying meaning. The “objects” in the painting are supposed to symbolize my future in the medical field.

I mean…. the whole painting is so abstract that it doesn’t really resemble anything, but in reality there is more to it.

This color pencil piece was inspired by my time at the Civic Leadership Institute in Baltimore. This work sort-of describes urban blight and the breakdown of many urban areas throughout America.

This was my first AP Art drawing and kind of shows where I started (skill-wise.) I was very happy with the way the siding turned out relative to my reference picture. Those panels flippin’ took forever to angle correctly!

BTWz.. Almost done with highschool :O

A mix of spray paint and paint marker. I wasn’t  happy with the result, BUT I do think this makes an important point- more attention needs to be put on domestic issues.
A fact that some might not know: America spends the most money, out of all “civilized/developed” countries in the world, on education yet it lacks quality in its schooling (as demonstrated by significantly lower test scores then many other western nations.)

A really nice still life :)

Trompe Loeil or French for fool the eye.

The objects in this drawing symbolize my future aspirations and my past memories.

Yet another instalment of work from my concentration.

I’m really fond of this piece and the way people see it.

I’ve heard a lot of “Is that unplugging or plugging in?” and even “Hey, so does Japan have anything to do with it?” The later is a bit silly, but it is amazing how many different ways people can see a simple drawing like this. In fact, a lot of the time the artist doesn’t see his artwork any other way but his own. So, remember to enlighten artists, like me. with your thoughts and interpretations.

These are some of my favorite concentration pieces.

I don’t want to spend time talking about them too much because like I’ve mentioned before- it is all up to the viewer’s interpretation. But just to put this out there I don’t hate the government. I just criticize some of their controversial decisions. Free speech & free art wooo :)

These charcoall pieces were inspired by my time in Baltimore in the summer of 2009. There, I attended a civic leadership camp through the Johns Hopkins University. Ahh….. the good times.

I miss you class G!
