College. A time in my life where I do not have the opportunity to work on art. Or do I?

These two cartoons spawned out of my crazy imagination. I think the character name is sort of clever, right? I’m just saying. But anyway… enjoy.

At this point, my second year in college, I have a job and I am preoccupied with my class work. Regardless of my lack of time, I have actually tried to cartoon for one of the school’s papers. My first cartoon appeared in the May issue of the Stony Brook Statesman, my freshman year. To tell you the truth I felt really, really, really accomplished. So this year, I have continued to make cartoons for the Statesman. I am currently working on my fourth cartoon. It’s going to be “great” : )

This was my first newspaper cartoon. I really doubt it will be relevant to any one who views it. That’s mostly due to the fact that it focuses on Obama’s poll numbers being up after the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. But hey… lets all pretend that this is still funny! Mehehe : )

This has an underlying meaning. The “objects” in the painting are supposed to symbolize my future in the medical field.

I mean…. the whole painting is so abstract that it doesn’t really resemble anything, but in reality there is more to it.

This color pencil piece was inspired by my time at the Civic Leadership Institute in Baltimore. This work sort-of describes urban blight and the breakdown of many urban areas throughout America.

This was my first AP Art drawing and kind of shows where I started (skill-wise.) I was very happy with the way the siding turned out relative to my reference picture. Those panels flippin’ took forever to angle correctly!

BTWz.. Almost done with highschool :O
